some time the rain radar of the Meteorological Service of Catalonia online shows the intensity evolution of squalls in the principality. The image is composed from data from three radars covering a radius of 240 km each. Together they cover the whole of Catalunya and allow you to see graphically where and how much it rains.

Both systems are based on changes in the reflectivity of radio waves experienced by function n of the existence of rain and its intensity.
